The A-Shell Editor, developed by Firmaware, Lda and being made available to the A-Shell community in partnership with MicroSabio, is a modern Integrated Development Environment
(IDE), similar in style to Visual .NET Studio. It has been designed to improve the productivity and enjoyment of developing AlphaBASIC® applications and managing both large and small program projects.
There are two versions of the Editor: standard (or "Pro") and "Lite." The Pro version is a full-fledged editor and project management environment, while the Lite version consists
mainly of the program editing features and may be thought of as a sort of "Visual VUE". To minimize the culture shock for those for whom VUE is like a first language, the Editor can be launched
from the A-Shell prompt with a VUE-like command line, and optionally supports most of the VUE keyboard commands.
